After 60 hours of chaos and carnage, leaving at least 195 dead and 295 injured, Mumbai commandos have finally ended the Islamic militant assault on India's financial capital with the killing of three holdout gunmen in Taj Mahal Hotel.
At least 21 foreigners, including a German, a Japanese and a Singaporean, have been killed in the attacks.
Oberoi-Trident Hotel and the Taj Mahal Hotel were seized late Wednesday by heavily armed gunmen from a little-known Islamic militant group called the "Deccan Mujahedeen" who singled out foreign guests.
The gunmen held foreign guests hostage as part of coordinated attacks hitting eight other locations including the main train station, a hospital and an up-market restaurant.

ISLAMABAD : Pakistan on Tuesday "emphatically" rejected Indian accusations that "official agencies" here backed the Mumbai attacks, saying such remarks would only serve to raise tensions in the region.
